I traveled to the Aboco islands right after Christmas 2018 and spent new years there. My family and I have been to other parts of the Bahamas before but this time we went to the Abacos, mainly to give my little brother a fishing experience he would never forget. The Abacos is famous for the amazing fish that swim the seas surrounding the islands, and how easy it is to catch there. The beaches are not as pretty as other parts of the Bahamas, but it is still gorgeous there. I would recommend traveling to the Abacos if you have a passion for fishing or would like learn more about fishing.

My little brother is almost 14 and has really stated liking fishing these past 2 years. He has fished manly in florida and other parts of the Bahamas, but once he got word of how amazing the catches are in the Abacos we just had to go. My family and I made it a trip, so we took our boat down there, and hired a fish loving deckhand expert. He knew so much about the do's and dont's of fishing and my little brother absorbed EVERYTHING. Go follow him on Instagram to see all his fishing experiences @linesoutfishingcharters

So one morning we all headed out at 6:30 am in hopes of getting the a really cool fish before they all ate breakfast. We took about a 15 min boat ride to get out in deeper water, and then we put our lines in the water to troll. within 5 mines of the lines in the water one line started reeling like crazy! Colleen ( our deckhand) quickly reacted and started to reel in the fish. They ended up catching a 70 pound Wahoo.

This trip was great for fishing and all the other activities we did which I will blog about next. My whole family got and amazing experience, and this is something that pushed my brother to have a passion for something besides fortnite.
